About My Story

After moving past the consuming times in my life; like needing to build a profession, finding ways to get the money to support my family, and working as an psychologist and educator in the public schools, I came to realize that I had spent very little time thinking about what I wanted my life to be like after retirement. Time had flown by, my children had left the nest, my wife had finished her slide down the horrific slope of Alzheimer’s and I had grown old.

After retiring, metaphorically speaking, I sat for awhile by the ocean, staring into the enormity of the universe, and pieced together a vision of what my final days on earth to be like.

In a nutshell, the vision revolved around gaining wisdom, supporting my friends and family, and finally doing what I could to support those who were building their after retirement visions. As I gained insight into who I was and how I wanted to spend my time , a special desire developed within me. That desire was to empower people who were having to spend their final days living in long term care nursing facilities. Now, after a year of supporting residents in nursing homes, I decided to take my efforts to higher level. My mission now – “Optimize the quality of life for older adults in America.
